Egy órát, ha nem többet bicajozott Tomi fel-alá, elindult egyedül, eltekert a megbeszélt célpontig, megfordult, vissza, újra és újra. Jól elfáradt, mikor hazaértünk, akkor pedig egy teljes második reggelit evett meg, annyira megéhezett a nagy sportolásban. :)
Délután újabb egy órát biciklizett, arra is sikerült figyelni, hogy többnyire a parkoló szélén haladjon, és ha jött autó, akkor ügyesen leállt és megvárta, hogy az autó elhaladjon.
Még van mit gyakorolni bőven, hiszen egyelőre csak sík talajon tud haladni jól, emelkedőn nagyon nehezen, lejtőn pedig nem tudja a sebességet kontrollálni egyelőre. A bicaj kontrás, ami teljesen bekeveri, mert az otthonija meg nem az. Így mondtuk neki, hogy ne használja a kontra féket, fékezzen az első fékkel, azt meg a kezével nem tudja még olyan erősen behúzni, hogy biztonságosan lassítani, megállni tudjon lejtőn lefele. Nem is baj, most pont elég, hogy megszerette, és hogy ilyen zavartalan terepen megtanult száguldozni. :)
Thomas is getting better by the minute, he never once needed to be pushed into motion, he can do it alone now. I pushed the bike over to the big carpark, and he was cycling up and down for over an hour. And then he managed to cycle home on the streets without knocking anyone over or driving off the foothpath. So definite improvement since yesterday! I tried him going up and down a slope, up was a struggle, but OK, but down it was still a bit too much, he can't control speed very well yet. This bike is a pedal-brake one, which he can't use, he is using the front-hand-brake, which doesn't bite very well, or is too difficult for him to pull in hard enough to slow down or stop on a slope. Still loads of practice needed, but he is making great progress, and he LOVES it. :)
We went again for an hour in the afternoon, he learned how to keep to the side of the road, and he stopped every time a car came, and waited patiently until it was safe again to cycle.
