A Nyaralás

Gyerekkorunkban (úgy szinte huszonéves gyerekkorunkig) minden nyáron 4-5 családdal mentünk nyaralni. Voltunk így a Balatonnál, a Zemplénben (itt sokszor visszajáró vendégként), Vas megyében, Csehszlovákiában, de még Erdélyben is. Nagy kalandok és jó emlékek voltak ezek. Mikor felnőttünk, gyakran már társakkal, férjekkel, feleségekkel is mentünk nyaralni, ha csak 1-2 napra csatlakozva is a szülői nyaraláshoz. Mikor megszülettek a gyerekeink, mindannyian úgy éreztük, szeretnénk, ha nekik is lehetőségük lenne nagy csapatban nyaralni. Tavaly a Velencei-tóhoz mentünk 3 családdal, néhány gyerekmentes látogatóval, és 1 napos nagyszülői felügyelettel. :) Talán a rossz idő, talán a tapasztalatlanság miatt, vagy a gyerekek voltak még túl kicsik, az a nyaralás inkább fárasztó volt, mint élmény. Így idén úgy határoztuk, visszük  a nagyszülőket is segítségnek. :)

A Szelidi-tóramentünk, és mondhatom, szuper volt! A pedagógusok szakszervezetének házát sikerült kibérelni az egyik nagymama segítségével. A ház egyszerű, de kellemes volt, a kert tágas a gyerekeknek, a tó alig 20 méterre, az idő forró. Volt nagy jövés-menés, állandóan változott a létszám: voltak, akik kicsit később érkeztek, voltak akik haza kényszerültek beteg baba miatt, voltak, akik csak látogatni ugrottak le, és voltak, akik előbb hazamentek. Mégis mindig legalább 20 ember volt jelen, a legtöbb egyszerre 29 volt, de csak néhány óra kellett volna, és 32-en is összejöttünk volna. :) Szóval megvolt a csapat fíling. :)

A gyerekek tomboltak, rohantak, éltek,  estek, keltek, volt sírás és nevetés bőven! A nagyszülők főztek, elláttak minket, szórakoztatták a gyerekeket, és persze olvadoztak, hogy milyen cukik - hát igen, tényleg azok! :) Mi, a középső generáció meg, kicsit megszusszantunk, kicsit megint lehettünk gyerekek, nem kellett örökösen mindenre felügyelni, észben tartani, megszervezni, elintézni.

Janka és Tomi nagyon egy húron pendülnek. Irtó viccesek és együtt, nagyon hasonló karakterű két kölök, volt a nyaralás alatt nagy bandázás, játék, barátkozás és veszekedés is. :)

Szupercuki! Tavaly ő volt a legkisebbünk, még csak 3 hónapos volt. Idén már aktívan kivette a részét a bandázásból, a nagyobban nagyon ügyesen bevették őt, ő pedig teljes jogú tagként nyomult velük. :)

Bálint és Tomi nagyon aranyosan tudnak együtt játszani, köztük talán sose volt még konfliktus - mondjuk ez Bálint szuper természetének köszönhető elsősorban. Bálint a rangidős, óriási szeretettel, odafigyeléssel irányítja a kisebbeket, tanítja őket mindenfélére, de persze ha eszetlenkedni kell, abban is ügyesen példát tud mutatni. :)

Somi, a legkisebb

Szegény néha csak kapkodta a fejét, annyian voltunk, de a fülgyulladásától eltekintve, nagyon jól elvolt, figyelte a nagyokat, hízelgett a papájának, evett és fürcsizett sokat. :) Soha rosszabbat első csapatos nyaralásnak, jól bírta!

Livi látogatóba jött le egy napra csak, ő is jól érezte magát, Janka lánypajtásra és erős konkurrenciára talált benne. :)

Ő is mindig nyaral velünk. Boldogan vette számba a nagy csapatot, innen oda feküdt, pihent hízelgett, házat őrzött, gyerekeket nyalogatott, élte világát, élvezte a falkaéletet!

Gergő is kimerült, ő aztán megállás nélkül szaladt, dumált, felfedezett. Irtó mókás, vicces gyerek, rengeteget nevettünk rajta!

In Hungary I have a large group of old childhood friends. Actually our parents started out as friends, growing up in the same town, going to school or to university together. When they married and started families, they kept the circle going, and very quickly us, children arrived to the Group as well. We grew up spending summer holidays together, visiting each other frequently, having birthday parties, etc. Two of us "children" as we still call ourselves, even got married and ended up starting the 3rd generation in the group. :) Now the 4-6 original families have 8 grandchildren already, two more on the way. As I said, every year we spent a week or two summer holiday somewhere together: away in the mountains, at Lake Balaton, even aborad (Czechoslovakia and Transylvania). These are great memories for all of us, living for a week or two in a large group, sharing house, rooms, tents, toys, parents, siblings, everything. So when we started to have our own families and the grandchildren arrived, we decided, they have to have this sort of adventure too. Last year 3 families rented a house for 4 days (plus others of the "children" came along for a visit or a night). The holiday was Ok, but not great, maybe we were too ambitious with 4 rather young kids, maybe the group wasn't ready for it, the weather was really bad, too. It wasn't a bad experience, but not good either, although I'm sure the kids had fun.

So this year we thought, we try a different way: all 3 generations together. I have to say, we succeeded in every suspect! The lake (Szelidi-tó), where we stayed, was simply great, wheather HOT (38-39 degrees), the house (rented by one of our Grannies from the teacher's society in my home town) was perfect for us, and the group was really like a big family together. The little ones (6.5, 4, 3.5, 1.5 years and the youngest 10 months old with a yet-to-be-born little one as the 6th) had great fun - except poor youngest one who developed an ear infection -, they were all the time busy in the garden, down at the lake, running, playing, messing, having fun. Our parents looked after the cooking, and entertained the grandchildren, so us, "poor exhausted middle generation" :)) got a nice break too.

On the pics you can see our little precious ones (especially on Thomas and Janka's picture, where they covered themselves in apricot and they made funny faces - they are just darling adorable angels, aren't they??). Bálint, the oldest is definitely the leader in every sense. All the younger ones adore him, listen to him, he is so good, so nice to them. Very patient as well. He teaches them both proper things and being a real messer. :) Thomas and Janka (Bálint's little sis) are very similar characters, also closest in age, they are so cute together. They get on really well, although there were a few disagreements, but they wouldn't be kids without those. Geri, the little one with dark spiky hair is a great little man. He is full of energy, laughter, mischief, he was the clown of the company! The bigger kids took him in no problem, they considered him an equal companion, the age difference didn't matter at all. Our youngest, Soma fit in well too, the older ones tried to mind him, look after him, and he was all eyes as he tried to take in everything. I'm sure next year he'll be a fully active member of the gang as well. We had a visitor too, whose father belongs to us "children" as well, and whose granny spent the week with us. She is nearly 3, her name is Lívia. She brought along her parents, her also yet-to-be-born little sister, and I hope she spent a lovely day with us too.

Derek found the holiday great too, fortunately most of my friends speak very good English, so he had someone to talk to. He swam a lot and enjoyed fishing and of course the sun and heat. :)

Our dog Bora came along too (of course), she was delighted, when we arrived and she found all the group there, who she knows and likes very much. She spent her days resting, asking everyone for food or tummy-tickles, and had great fun.

All in all, the Big Holiday was great, we all hope to repeat it next year again!
